Is there a fundraising minimum?

No. There is not a fundraising minimum, however, we encourage all participants to set a minimum fundraising goal of $250 and a minimum team goal of $2,500. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 for Children's National and we need your help to do it! It’s simple to send out pre-written donation e-mails through your Fundraising Center. Need help? Will my registration fee count toward my fundraising total?

No. Your registration fee will not be reflected on your fundraising page and will not count toward your fundraising total. The registration fee helps us to cover the cost of race management and other expenses we incur through planning the event. Registration fees are not tax-deductible.

Can I collect offline donations?

Yes. Offline donations (cash and checks) will be counted toward your fundraising total and can be sent to: Attn: Race for Every Child, Children’s Hospital Foundation, 801 Roeder Rd, Suite 400, Silver, Spring, MD 20910. Please remember to include an offline donation form with your submitted donation(s) so you receive credit. Checks can be made payable to Children's Hospital Foundation.

Can I register for the race on-site?

No. Due to permitting restrictions all 5K Run/Walk participants and 100-Yard Kids’ Dash participants must register in advance. Sorry, no exceptions.

If I can't make it, can I receive a refund or transfer my registration to someone else?

No. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

When and where can I collect my race packet?

You can collect you packet at the Check-In Tent on race day, however, we encourage you to pick up your packet in advance if you are able to. For a list up advanced packet pick-up locations, click HERE. Please continue to check back as we may change or add new pick-up locations and times.

What time should I arrive to the event?

If you are driving, we encourage you to leave yourself extra time to park. All participants who are picking up their race packet the day of the event should plan on arriving at 7:00 am to avoid long lines. Participants who have picked up their packet in advance can get there as early as 7:00 am and the race warm-up will start promptly at 8:15 am. For more day of event information click HERE. Can I participate with a stroller? Can I participate in a wheelchair?

Yes. Stroller and wheelchairs are welcome!

I want to support Children's National but cannot participate in the race. Can I still register?

Yes. You can register and participate virtually. Sign up and create a fundraising page – even if you can’t attend.
